THE BOARD
Who we are
We are a team of diverse and passionate students, each unique in our areas of expertise but unified by our shared love for Model United Nations conferences. Our team combines the strategic thinking of political science enthusiasts, the narrative crafting of literature lovers, the meticulous planning of economics students, the digital expertise of tech-savvy computer science devotees, and the historical and global insights of history buffs. While our passions and skills vary, we are all committed to the principles and practices of MUN. Our collective passion for the MUN is rooted in our belief in diplomacy, negotiation, and compromise as effective tools for shaping the future. Our goal is to create a dynamic, respectful, and enriching conference experience. This shared goal brings us together, and together, we are excited to host an MUN conference that we believe will be both memorable and impactful. We are excited to welcome you to the 3rd edition of PaMUN!
Meet the team
duarte Sousa
Secretary-general
Hello, my name is Duarte Sousa and I hail from Lisbon, Portugal. I joined MUN roughly 4 years ago, and have participated in various conferences and committees, ranging from Security Council to ICJ. I fell in love with MUN for its emphasis in fostering fruitful debate on current affairs and controversial issues which are much more difficult to discuss and address in other forums of discussion. I want to bring this inquisitive environment to PaMUN and ensure everyone feels welcome and has a chance to speak and voice their opinions, creating the same opportunities I had when I joined MUN for new and experienced delegates.
Jack Nemtsov
Deputy Secretary-general
Howdy! My name is Jack Nemtsov and I am proudly made in America. I joined MUN about four years ago to sharpen my oratory skills and try something new. Since then, it has been an outlet for me to engage in exciting diplomatic issues. MUN has pushed me to grow, not just as a speaker, but as a person. I hope this edition of PaMUN is just as transformative for you, whether you're making your first Point of Information or threatening your first veto in the Security Council. I can’t wait to see you at PaMUN!
Pedro Santos
Head of logistics
Hello everyone! I am Pedro, and I am the Head of Logistics. My journey in the Model United Nations program began around a year ago, when I volunteered as an admin for the General Assembly of PaMUN 2nd edition. I was impressed by the debate dynamics and the formal UN procedure protocols, which combined with my innate curiosity and ‘nerdiness’ for global issues and politics, made it a remarkable experience of anagnorisis for me. MUN’s competitive side and applicable aspects sparked in me an insatiable thirst for knowledge; meanwhile, the friendly social environment encouraged me to overcome my fears. All in all, I aspire to help you live the same experience as I did by ensuring the smooth running of PaMUN. Good luck to all the delegates! Any issues do not hesitate to contact me. See you soon…!
Francisco Fernandes
Deputy Head of Logistics
Hello everyone! My name is Francisco, and I am honoured to be serving as Deputy Head of Logistics for this edition of PaMUN. I joined MUN two years ago, not knowing exactly what to expect, but I quickly discovered a passion for structured debate, persuasive rhetoric, and the challenge of defending complex policies under pressure. Since then, MUN has been a space where I have grown as a speaker, a thinker, and a collaborator. Now, I am excited to help shape a conference that is just as inspiring and inclusive as the one I first experienced. Whether you are delivering your first speech or drafting your tenth resolution, I hope PaMUN pushes you to find your voice, think critically, and make the most of every moment. I look forward to seeing you in committee!
Débora Orsoni
Head of media
Hi everyone! My name is Débora, and I'm from Brazil. Although I’ve never participated in a MUN conference as a delegate, I’ll have the privilege of being Head of Media at the 3rd edition of PaMUN! Even from behind the scenes, it’s easy to see the value of this space, and as Head of Media, my goal is to spotlight the vibrant spirit of our conference, ensuring that every delegate’s experience is documented and celebrated. I look forward to capturing the moments that make MUN so special and helping foster the same welcoming atmosphere that has drawn so many to this unique world of discussion and collaboration.
Anaya Prabhudas
Hi everyone! I’m Anaya, from Lisbon Portugal. I joined MUN roughly 2 years ago, and quickly fell in love, not only for the thrill of debate and diplomacy, but with every single part of the experience, right down to the Chair’s relentless corrections, and the pressure to perfect every single motion. This time, I won’t be attending MUN from the delegate’s seat, rather from the other side, helping shape the event as Deputy Head of Media. With a passion for journalism and communications, I am adamant to deliver professional and dynamic media coverage that reflects the excellence of PAMUN. I’m looking forward to capturing and designing this experience as remarkable for you, see you soon at the 3rd edition of PaMUN!
Deputy Head of media
Pablo Hernandez
Head of Technology
Hey! My name is Pablo Hernandez, and I joined MUN for the intellectual challenge and, frankly, to outwit debaters using logic and facts. What started as a test of my debate skills quickly evolved into a means to engage with complex global issues, while refining my reasoning and ability to think on my feet. MUN has pushed me to become not just a stronger speaker, but a sharper thinker. I hope this special 2025 edition of PaRK MUN challenges you just as much: whether you're defending your first resolution or dismantling a clause piece by piece, I'll be excited to meet you at PaMUN!
