Who we are

We are a team of diverse and passionate students, each unique in our areas of expertise but unified by our shared love for Model United Nations conferences. Our team combines the strategic thinking of political science enthusiasts, the narrative crafting of literature lovers, the meticulous planning of economics students, the digital expertise of tech-savvy computer science devotees, and the historical and global insights of history buffs. While our passions and skills vary, we are all committed to the principles and practices of MUN. Our collective passion for the MUN is rooted in our belief in diplomacy, negotiation, and strategy as effective tools for shaping the future. Our goal is to create a dynamic, respectful, and enriching conference experience. This shared goal brings us together, and together, we are excited to host an MUN conference that we believe will be both memorable and impactful. We are excited to welcome you to the 4th edition of PaMUN!

Meet the Board

Vasco Rego

Hello delegates! My name is Vasco, I’m 17 I was born in Lisbon, Portugal and I have been a member of the PaRK IS MUN club for five years now. When I was one year old I moved to Madrid, where I lived for four years before moving to London where I lived for five years and, finally, I returned to Portugal 7 years ago.

When I joined the MUN club in grade 8 I fell in love with it immediately. It was a place where my passion for debating, my love of history and my interest in politics could flourish and nothing had ever given me as much joy and confidence in school before. From then onwards, it snowballed. Starting in regional conferences I moved up to national and eventually I found myself winning an award across the Atlantic in Yale! At that point I knew what I wanted to do with my life, and it was MUN that had shown it to me.

I’ve made it my mission to ensure that MUN grows, and grows stronger. I see MUN as a tool to raise critical thinkers, capable debaters and leaders for the future who will choose the path of diplomacy and build a world better than the one we have today. That's why I founded the first edition of Junior PaMUN, opening the MUN to the younger students of our school. The youth is the future, and keeping them politically active I believe is key to guaranteeing a better tomorrow.

And so, in PaMUN 2026 as Secretary General I aim to create a conference that will promote critical thinking, promote not staying silent, promote observing and critiquing the world around us because that is exactly what is needed to build a better future, and MUN is an amazing tool to do just that. You delegates are the future and nothing makes me more proud than knowing that I had a hand in helping create a generation of thinkers that refuses to stay quiet.

Secretary-General

Manuela Medeiros

Hey! :) My name is Manuela, and I’m from São Paulo, Brazil. I’ve been part of Model United Nations since the 6th grade, and if I’m being honest, I’ve always been the quintessential “MUN kid" and quite frankly, I was even made fun of for it. Soon after, what began as what I once dismissed as simple “geopolitical roleplay” quietly became something far more defining. As I grew, so did my understanding of the world. Model UN stopped being just an extracurricular and became a calling. When carried through negotiation and diplomacy, we can all have the power to change the world and shape realities.

Driven by a deep passion for diplomacy and history. Along my journey, I’ve also founded and led student initiatives, mentored peers across disciplines, and built youth-driven platforms like The Embassy Project and @Geopoliticsir on TikTok, reaching thousands with content on diplomacy, global affairs, and civic engagement. I am committed to delivering an unforgettable edition of PaMUN.

After being selected as Ambassador for a Day by the UK Embassy in Portugal, I realized that diplomacy, once framed as the domain of powerful men, relies on skills long undervalued in women: listening, empathy, and negotiation. If politics is truly about bridging divides, it cannot afford to exclude those perspectives; we need more women not just for representation, but because better governance depends on it.

And so, more than a conference, PaMUN is a space where future leaders begin to find their voice. I cannot wait to witness the energy, ambition, and vision that each of you will bring to our 4th edition!!

Deputy Secretary-General

Sofia Paparoto

Head of Media

Hey guys! My name is Sofia and I am from São Paulo, Brazil. I started MUN in grade 9 simply to participate in some club but ended up finding passions along my time here. I could be categorised as the ‘shy kid’ who always overthinks before sharing what they think but throughout my journey with this club it taught me many lessons one of which is to be able to advocate for yourself - and for your country of course! - and this has manifested not only in my club activities but also in my own personal life. This for me is one of the most important messages MUN is able to provide for people who partake in it and advertise for those wishing to join.

It is my privilege, as Head of Media, to welcome you to this year’s Model United Nations conference. This edition will not only the beginning of thoughtful debate and collaboration, but also the start of a shared journey in amplifying ideas that matter. The Media team is dedicated to capturing the spirit of this conference like your diplomacy, creativity, and commitment to global issues and sharing it with a wider audience.

In an increasingly interconnected world, the role of communication has never been more vital. Through our coverage, we aim to highlight the voices in this room and showcase the impact of informed dialogue. Whether through articles, photography, or digital platforms, we strive to ensure that your efforts resonate beyond these sessions.

We look forward to documenting your achievements and wish you all a productive and inspiring conference!

Adriana Bounds

Hello delegates! My name is Adriana, I’m 19 and from Houston, Texas. I’ve been part of Model United Nations since grade 10, initially I joined just to push myself out of my comfort zone and try something new. What started off as something a bit intimidating quickly turned into something I genuinely enjoy, and MUN has helped me grow a lot in confidence, communication, and how I think about global issues.

Over time, I’ve come to appreciate that MUN is more than just formal speeches and structured debates. It’s also about figuring things out as you go, working with people you’ve only just met that day, and learning how to express your ideas clearly under pressure. You’re always being exposed to new perspectives, and even when things don’t go exactly as you wanted, it usually ends up being where you learn the most. While it can be challenging at times, it makes the experience all the more rewarding.

As the Deputy Head of Media for PaMUN 2026, I’m super excited to help capture and share all the best moments of the conference. Whether this is your first MUN or you’re a total veteran, I hope you have an amazing time and make the most of it. I can’t wait to see you all there!

Deputy Head of Media

Madalena Nobre

Hey! My name is Madalena, and I'm from Portugal. As Head of Logistics for PaMUN, I'm the person working behind the scenes to make sure every detail of this conference runs smoothly.

I've been doing MUN for three years, which is enough time to learn that the real work happens long before the conference actually begins. MUN sharpened my interest in global affairs and diplomacy, but it also taught me something just as valuable: that great ideas only become reality when the right foundations are in place. That's what logistics is all about, and that's what makes this role such a natural fit.

I'm someone who thrives on organisation and problem-solving , finding satisfaction in making complex things feel effortless for everyone around me. Building something as ambitious as an MUN conference from the ground up, coordinating moving parts and turning vision into a lived experience, is a challenge I take on with full commitment.

I am so excited to welcome each of you to our 4th edition of PaMUN!! Seeing delegates step into the room, ready to debate and full of energy, is exactly why we do this. I can't wait to see you there! :)

Head of Logistics

Aahil Jiwani

Deputy Head of Logistics

Hi! My name is Aahil and I’m a Grade 11 student and I have been in Model United Nations for 4 years now. I’m from Alabama, USA and I have a great interest for law international relations and economics.

At first, I actually joined MUN because I thought it was niche, but what was originally a novelty developed into the great passion I have for this club in the present. Aside MUN, I love playing and watching cricket, reading, and going out with my friends.

Over the years, I’ve dedicated countless hours to MUN and it’s my honor to be serving as the Deputy Head of Logistics for the fourth edition of PaMUN. I’m very excited to be apart of this wonderful conference, and making sure it’s as enjoyable and exciting for you as possible!

Whether you have years of experience, or PaMUN is your first conference, I look forward to seeing you all there, ready to debate and discuss all sorts of global issues and affairs!

Kamil

IT Advisor

Hello, everyone! My name is Kamil, and I am the IT advisor. My journey in Model United Nations commenced at the beginning of 2024 to promote factual, truthful, and respectful discourse and to dismantle lies and misconceptions using logic and facts. What started as an attempt at being a delegate gradually turned into a way to take part in dealing with diverse global issues whilst refining my speaking skills and ability to think on the spot. MUN has pushed me to become not just an erudite person but also cogent, effectual, and eloquent. I am looking into this special 2026 edition of PaRK MUN, which will bring to you the finest experience in a MUN conference, whether you're defending your first resolution or dissecting every jot and tittle of a clause. I'll be excited to meet you at PaMUN as an IT advisor! Conversely, you may query me anytime, whether it is to help write your first resolution, fix Wi-Fi, or anything else!
